Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a team-oriented associate to support daily store operations, stock and display merchandise, assist customers, and process purchases at the register. You will follow store procedures, maintain plan-o-grams, and contribute to a clean, organized sales floor.

Ideal candidates will have strong interpersonal skills, basic math and cash handling abilities, and the ability to stand and walk for long periods in a fast-paced environment. High school diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to operate IBM cash register functions.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons; stock merchandise on shelves or sales floor.
• Build and stock merchandise displays.
• Stock merchandise and rotate facing on shelves.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise.
• Operate cash register, bag purchases and collect payment.
