Job summary

Retail Odyssey in Alaska is seeking an in-store merchandising assistant to help retailers meet shoppers’ needs. You will build displays, reset shelves with product rotation, and track inventory to maximize sales opportunities.

You will also support leadership with reporting, scheduling, training, and onboarding new hires. No prior experience is required as training and team support are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service and merchandising is preferred.
• Ability to lead and train others is a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-store merchandising support, build displays and end caps, and reset shelves with product rotation.
• Track inventory to maximize sales opportunities and minimize stockouts.

Now, About You

• Are comfortable interacting with customers and management in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner
• You're 18 years or older
• Can perform physical work of moving, bending, standing and can lift up to 50 lbs.
• Have reliable transportation to and from work location
• Have 1-2 years of merchandising experience
• Have experience leading and training people
• Can use your smartphone or tablet to record work after each shift
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with our clients, customers and team members
• Are a motivated self-starter with a strong bias for action and results
• Work independently, but also possess successful team building skills
• Have the ability to perform job duties with a safety-first mentality in a retail environment
