Job summary

The Retail Odyssey Company in Ohio is seeking a retail merchandising associate to help shape the shopping experience. You will work in stores to build displays, reset shelves, and rotate products, while tracking inventory to maximize sales opportunities.

You will also support leadership with reporting, training, scheduling, and onboarding new hires, contributing to a cooperative team environment and customer-focused service. Training is provided, and opportunities for growth exist.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of merchandising experience.
• Experience leading and training people.
• 18 years or older.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Reliable transportation to work.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will provide in-store merchandising support to Retailers to meet shoppers’ needs. This includes building displays and end caps, resetting shelves with product rotation, and tracking inventory to ensure that stores and suppliers maximize sales opportunities. Now, about you:

• Are comfortable interacting with customers and management in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner
• You’re 18 years or older
• Can perform physical work of moving, bending, standing and can lift up to 50 lbs.
• Have reliable transportation to and from work location
• Have 1-2 years of merchandising experience
• Have experience leading and training people
• Can use your smartphone or tablet to record work after each shift
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with our clients, customers and team members
• Are a motivated self-starter with a strong bias for action and results
• Work independently, but also possess successful team building skills
• Have the ability to perform job duties with a safety-first mentality in a retail environment
