Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Merchandising, Business, Marketing, Fashion, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in retail merchandising, buying, planning, or related field.
• Strong understanding of retail trends, product assortment, and customer behavior.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and retail merchandising systems.
• Ability to analyze sales and inventory data and make informed recommendations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Ability to work collaboratively with buyers, vendors, stores, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute merchandising strategies based on sales trends, customer preferences, and business goals.
• Create and maintain attractive product assortments and visual presentations.
• Partner with buyers to determine product placement, quantities, and seasonal assortments.
• Analyze sales, inventory, and product performance to identify opportunities and improve results.
• Coordinate product launches, seasonal transitions, promotions, and special events.
• Ensure merchandise is properly priced, labeled, stocked, and displayed.
• Work with vendors and suppliers to ensure merchandising standards and timelines are met.
• Visit retail locations to evaluate displays, inventory, and overall execution.
• Monitor competitors and current retail trends to identify new merchandising opportunities.
• Communicate merchandising plans and recommendations to store and cross-functional teams.
• Prepare reports and presentations on sales performance, inventory, and merchandising initiatives.
• Recommend changes to product placement, assortment, pricing, or promotions based on performance data.
• Ensure all merchandising activities support the company’s brand standards and customer experience.

The range of compensation for this role is $60,000- $80,000. The actual salary will be determined by several factors, including the selected candidate’s specific skills and experience.

This position is based in our Secaucus office 5 days a week.
