Job summary

SFS is expanding its nationwide independent contractor network and seeking experienced Retail Merchandisers. This role offers a highly flexible schedule with project-based pay and the ability to service multiple retailers and brands.

Projects typically range from 12–20 hours per month, with some windows requiring monthly early service. You will report via mobile and complete documentation on the day of service.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and execute planograms and merchandising instructions.
• Experience in retail merchandising, audits, or customer service preferred.
• Comfort with mobile reporting and project documentation.
• Ability to travel between retail locations and work weekday daytime hours.
• Physically able to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Review project instructions and client expectations before each assignment.
• Execute merchandising projects according to client requirements.
• Perform product resets, displays maintenance, and promotional installations.
• Remove discontinued products and update materials.
• Conduct inventory counts and product scanning.
• Stock and organize merchandise per planograms and standards.
• Ensure displays are clean, organized, and well-presented.
• Travel between retail locations as needed.
• Submit project completion reports and photos on the same day you work.

SFS is growing, and we're looking for experienced Retail Merchandisers to join our nationwide network of independent contractors. This is an excellent opportunity for self-motivated professionals seeking flexible, supplemental income while servicing some of the nation's largest retailers and brands.

Our clients provide service windows rather than specific work schedules, allowing you a flexible schedule that works for you while meeting project requirements.

Assignments may include merchandising, product resets, cut-ins, inventory audits, display maintenance, POP installation, product stocking, and other retail support activities. Typical projects range from 12-20 hours per month, with some retailer locations requiring service during the first two weeks of each month.

What You'll Do

• Review project instructions and client expectations before each assignment
• Execute merchandising projects according to client requirements

Skills & Qualifications

• Previous merchandising, retail, reset, auditing, or customer service experience preferred
• Ability to read and execute planograms and merchandising instructions
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable using mobile technology for reporting and project documentation
• Available to complete assignments during retailer service windows, primarily weekday daytime hours
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds repeatedly
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, kneel, and stand for extended periods
• Reliable transportation for travel between assigned retail locations
• Smartphone or tablet (Android or iOS) with internet access
• Active email address for project communication and reporting
• Ability to submit project completion reports and photos on the same day work is performed
