Job summary

SFS is expanding its nationwide network and seeks experienced Retail Merchandisers to work as independent contractors. Projects are flexible and paid per assignment, with daily reporting via mobile devices.

Assignments include merchandising, resets, audits, stocking, and display maintenance across major retailers. You’ll travel between locations, set your schedule, and report results on the same day.

Qualifications

• Experience in merchandising, retail, resets, audits, or customer service preferred.
• Ability to read and execute planograms and merchandising instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
• Comfortable using mobile technology for reporting and documentation.
• Available to complete assignments during weekday daytime hours.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and travel between locations.
• Requires reliable transportation and smartphone/tablet with internet access.

Responsibilities

• Review project instructions before each assignment.
• Execute merchandising projects according to client requirements.
• Perform resets, cut-ins, display maintenance, and installations.
• Remove discontinued products and materials.
• Conduct inventory counts and product scanning.
• Stock and organize merchandise per planograms.
• Ensure displays are clean and accurately presented.
• Travel between retail locations as needed.
• Submit reports and photos on the same day services are performed.

SFS is growing, and we're looking for experienced Retail Merchandisers to join our nationwide network of independent contractors. This is an excellent opportunity for self-motivated professionals seeking flexible, supplemental income while servicing some of the nation's largest retailers and brands.

Our clients provide service windows rather than specific work schedules, allowing you a flexible schedule that works for you while meeting project requirements.

Assignments may include merchandising, product resets, cut-ins, inventory audits, display maintenance, POP installation, product stocking, and other retail support activities. Typical projects range from 12-20 hours per month, with some retailer locations requiring service during the first two weeks of each month.

What You'll Do

• Review project instructions and client expectations before each assignment
• Execute merchandising projects according to client requirements
• Perform product resets, cut-ins, display maintenance, and promotional installations
• Remove discontinued or outdated products and materials
• Conduct inventory counts and product scanning activities
• Stock and organize merchandise according to planograms and merchandising standards
• Ensure displays are clean, organized, and accurately presented
• Travel between retail locations as desired and accepted
• Complete required reporting, including photos and project documentation, using a mobile device
• Submit project completion reports on the same day services are performed

Skills & Qualifications

• Previous merchandising, retail, reset, auditing, or customer service experience preferred
• Ability to read and execute planograms and merchandising instructions
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable using mobile technology for reporting and project documentation
• Available to complete assignments during retailer service windows, primarily weekday daytime hours
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds repeatedly
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, kneel, and stand for extended periods
• Reliable transportation for travel between assigned retail locations
• Smartphone or tablet (Android or iOS) with internet access
• Active email address for project communication and reporting
• Ability to submit project completion reports and photos on the same day work is performed
