Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience covering financial markets, investing or business journalism.
• Strong knowledge of financial markets, investing products, market structure and macroeconomic concepts.
• Excellent news judgment and ability to identify distinctive story angles from market movements, data, and reports.
• Proven ability to explain sophisticated financial concepts in clear, engaging language for everyday readers.
• Experience developing sources across Wall Street, academia, government, and the investing community.
• Ability to connect seemingly unrelated developments into meaningful stories for subscribers.

Responsibilities

• Cover breaking developments across financial markets with urgency, accuracy and context.
• Explain market moves, data and geopolitical developments in accessible language for a broad audience.
• Develop enterprise stories uncovering investing trends before they are widely recognized.
• Embed with retail investing communities to understand emerging trends and questions.

• Track innovations in investing, including digital assets and new products, distinguishing meaningful developments from hype.
• Use market data and public filings to identify trends and support reporting.
