Job summary

Love's Travel Stops offers an 11-week Retail Management Internship with hands-on experience in managing high-volume travel centers, including food service and truck care. Interns work alongside seasoned leaders to learn operations, team management, and customer service, supporting drivers and travelers on the road.

The program is designed to launch a rewarding career with Love's, offering mentorship, leadership development, and potential full-time opportunities.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a 2- or 4-year program pursuing a degree in business, management, hospitality, or a related field.
• Able to complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check, with additional screening possibly including a motor vehicle check and/or DOT Physical.

Responsibilities

• Participate in hands-on training across store, fuel, food, and truck care operations.
• Develop business acumen by learning how to drive sales, manage costs, and support profitability.
• Learn team leadership, staffing, and employee development practices.
• Gain experience delivering exceptional customer service and resolving issues.
• Assist with merchandising, inventory management, and operational standards.
• Understand and help enforce safety, compliance, and company policies.
• Collaborate on a cross-functional project with interns and leaders across departments.

Our interns work alongside seasoned leaders to learn facility operations, team management, and exceptional customer service, all while helping professional drivers and travelers get back on the road quickly. This program is designed to set our interns on a path toward a rewarding career with Love’s.

Job Functions
