Boscov's Department Store, LLC is seeking a Retail Loss Prevention Detective to join its Loss Prevention team in Reading, PA. Leverage your LP experience to deter theft and protect people and assets across the store environment.

You will patrol, monitor, and respond to incidents, while adhering to company policies and safety protocols. The role offers a dynamic retail setting with potential for growth within our Loss Prevention organization.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in retail loss prevention is preferred.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Availability to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, early openings, and late closings.

Responsibilities

• Guard, patrol, and monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions.
• Provide loss prevention support and awareness through policies, procedures, and personal involvement.
• Surveillance and assisting police with apprehensions of shoplifters.
• Conduct store opening and closing procedures.
• Performing safety audits, safety, and fire prevention and inspections.
• Answering alarm responses.
• Performing insurance inspections and investigations.

Job Responsibilities

As a Loss Prevention Detective, you will perform loss prevention as part of the retail operations team. You will be responsible for guarding, patrolling, and monitoring premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.

• Providing loss prevention support and awareness through policies, procedures, and personal involvement
• Providing surveillance and assisting police with apprehensions of shoplifters
• Conducting store opening and closing procedures
• Performing safety audits, safety, and fire prevention and inspections
• Answering alarm responses
• Performing insurance inspections and investigations

Requirements
