HomeGoods at TJX Companies in Massachusetts is hiring for a Manager on Duty to lead daily store operations, coach Associates, and ensure a safe, high‑energy customer experience.

You will work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, handle escalated issues, enforce policies, and partner with management to meet sales and service goals.

Qualifications

• 1 year retail experience and at least 6 months leadership experience.
• Strong coaching and customer service skills.

Job Description:

• Creates a positive internal and external customer experience
• Promotes a culture of honesty and integrity; maintains confidentiality
• Acts as Manager on Duty adhering to company policy and procedure
• Ensures store team performs tasks and activities in accordance with store plan; prioritizes as needed
• Addresses immediate customer service issues and provides appropriate coaching to Associates
• Exercises discretion regarding customer service policies to satisfy customers
• Maintains accurate Associate coverage in service areas for a positive customer experience
• Ensures Associates adhere to all operational procedures
• Ensures opening/closing procedures are executed according to company guidelines
• Communicates accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities; provides progress updates
• Provides and accepts recognition and constructive feedback
• Provides feedback, recognition and coaching to Associates
• Partners with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness
• Ensures adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs
• Supports and participates in shrink reduction goals and programs
• Promotes safety awareness and maintains a safe environment
• Other duties as assigned

• Knowledge of company standard software, systems, and procedures
• Knowledge of merchandise flow in stores

• Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
• 1 year retail, 6 months leadership experience

This position has a starting pay range of USD $18.25 to $18.75 per hour. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
