The TJX Companies, Inc. is seeking a Key Carrier to join our store team in Henrietta, NY. This role balances leadership with frontline duties, including overseeing operations, coaching Associates, and ensuring outstanding customer service.

You must be available nights and weekends and able to adapt to store needs while maintaining policy and procedure adherence. Join a Fortune 100 company known for off-price retail leadership.

Qualifications

• 1 year of retail experience preferred.
• At least 6 months of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
• Knowledge of store operations and merchandise flow.
• Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and lead by example.
• Act as Manager on Duty following company policy.
• Ensure tasks are completed according to store plan and prioritize as needed.
• Coach and train Associates and provide feedback.
• Maintain opening and closing procedures.
• Communicate priorities to Management and staff.
• Support shrink reduction goals and safety programs.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Ensure labor laws and safety compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Key Carrier role is an elevated extension of the Coordinator role. Key Carriers alternate their role based on store needs, predominantly performing the role of Coordinator and occasionally acting as Key Carrier, taking on a leadership role in maintaining all aspects of the store. Key Carriers must have open availability, including nights and weekends. Role models exceptional customer service.

• Creates a positive internal and external customer experience
• Promotes a culture of honesty and integrity; maintains confidentiality
• Acts as Manager on Duty adhering to company policy and procedure
• Ensures store team performs tasks and activities in accordance with store plan; prioritizes as needed
• Addresses immediate customer service issues and provides appropriate coaching to Associates
• Exercises discretion regarding customer service policies to satisfy customers
• Maintains accurate Associate coverage in service areas for a positive customer experience
• Ensures Associates adhere to all operational procedures
• Ensures opening/closing procedures are executed according to company guidelines
• Communicates accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities; provides progress updates
• Provides and accepts recognition and constructive feedback
• Provides feedback, recognition and coaching to Associates
• Partners with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness
• Ensures adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs
• Supports and participates in shrink reduction goals and programs
• Promotes safety awareness and maintains a safe environment
• Other duties as assigned

• 1 year retail, 6 months leadership experience
