Job summary

Visionworks is seeking a General Manager in Ellicott City to lead a service-driven team and drive profitability while ensuring a seamless patient journey from doctor appointment to eyewear pickup.

The GM will hire, train, coach, and develop staff, manage daily store operations, and collaborate with doctors to align business needs with excellent customer service. A strong focus on profitability and patient experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Three (3) or more years of related management experience.
• HS Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Optical management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maximize the store's profitability while maintaining patient/customer experience and achieving financial goals.
• Engage with the Doctor regularly to discuss business needs, staff, and patient experience.
• Plan daily operations by managing traffic, appointments, and eyewear services.
• Hire, train, coach, and develop store associates to deliver excellent patient/customer experiences.
• Remove obstacles to improve patient/customer experience and resolve issues as needed.
• Lead and improve all broad operational activities to meet financial and customer experience goals.

Pay Class: Full Time

Pay: $58,656 - $70,768.37 per year

The Role:

A Visionworks General Manager (GM) is a leader of others and leader of the business at Visionworks. This person is a smart, business-savvy self-starter who knows their way around profitability and the driving factors of success. The General Manager will also manage a service driven team to ensure a simple, human and bold patient and customer journey from doctor appointment to eyewear pickup.

• Maximize the store's profitability without compromising the patient/customer experience by setting and exceeding organization's financial and performance goals


• Engage regularly with the Doctor to touch base on business needs, associates and patient/customer experience


• Prep and plan business for the day by managing incoming traffic, doctor appointments, and scheduled eyewear services


• Hire, Train, coach, develop and support store associates to perform in their respective roles with excellence to ensure a flawless patient/customer experience


• Remove obstacles and find resolution in the patient/customer experience when needed


• Lead, execute and improve all broad operational activities to meet the store's financial and customer experience goals

Compensation range for the roles is listed above. Applicable salary rangers may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. As a part of the compensation package, this role may include eligible bonuses, equity, and commissions.
