Job summary

Macy’s is seeking a part-time Retail Fulfillment Associate in Washington, DC to support omni-channel operations and deliver a great shopping experience. You will greet customers, help with in-store and online orders, and assist with packing, pickup, and curbside services.

This role requires flexible availability including nights, weekends and holidays, with emphasis on teamwork and customer care. Prior POS experience is helpful but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

Job Overview

As a Fulfillment Colleague, you will be responsible for driving a great shopping experience for our omni channel customer by supporting the operational activities that drive sales, profit, and excellent customer service. You will collaborate with the store team to deliver results in a friction-free shopping environment.

What You Will Do

Customer Service Assistance: Greet customers, answer their questions, and provide assistance in a friendly and professional manner. Ensure a positive shopping experience by addressing customer concerns and resolving issues promptly.

Customer Support: Monitor alerts to ensure Ready on Time completion of Buy Online Pickup In-Store (BOPS) orders. During peak times, conduct customer pick-up including retrieving the orders from our back-of-house storage and delivering them curbside to the customer.

Picking and Packing: Select merchandise from the selling floor and apply packing policies & techniques to ensure every customer receives his/her package in good condition; process shippable returns and abandoned in store pickup orders

Support Other Teams: Assist other teams as needed in areas such as unloading and processing new merchandise based on its type, size, or category.

Team Collaboration: Work with other team members to achieve department goals and maintain a positive work environment. Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors, sharing feedback, ideas, and concerns.

Essential Physical Requirements You Will Perform

This position requires talking, lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands.

Involves standing for at least two consecutive hours, lifting at least 50lbs., stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders

Reaching, including above eye level

Requires close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment

Frequent use of computers and other technology, necessary to perform job functions, including handheld equipment, cash register and ability to process register transactions
