Job summary

The GIANT Company in State College, PA is hiring a front-end associate to support busy retail operations. You will scan/enter items at the register, lift and move goods, handle cash, bag orders, restock front-end items like candy, gift cards, and snacks, and assist with carts.

You’ll work 4-hour shifts or longer, adhere to PPE and safety rules, and help maintain clean, inviting checkout areas. Teamwork, reliability, and safety are valued here.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to communicate and understand company policies and safety regulations to complete duties.
• Must meet ergonomic and physical requirements, with or without accommodation.
• Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.
• Must complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 30 or 60 days.
• Must be able to perform all job functions safely.
• Must meet the company performance standards for the job including regular attendance.
• Must agree to wear the proper assigned clothes and shoes approved for this job.
• Must have technical training (job specific).

Responsibilities

• Review the work schedule, check equipment and supplies, and prepare for duties.
• Block aisles, set-up checkout areas, and set-up displays as needed.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Tally items, take money, and make change.
• Bag items and put bags into carts whenever necessary.
