Compass Group USA is hiring full-time Retail Food Service Worker at the University of Kentucky, Lexington, KY. Fixed pay rate is $15.00 per hour with multiple shift options.

Responsibilities include food prep, serving customers, maintaining safety and sanitation, and supporting daily operations. Previous food service and customer service experience are preferred/required. Applications accepted ongoing.

  • Monday–Saturday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM; no Sunday availability required
  • Open availability Sunday–Saturday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
  • Open availability Sunday–Saturday, 5:00 PM–1:00 AM
  • Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–2:30 PM or 9:00 AM–2:30 PM
  • Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–4:00 PM
  • Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–4:00 PM
  • Monday–Friday, 9:30 AM–3:30 PM
• Requirement: Previous food service experience is preferred. Customer service experience is required.
• Fixed Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour

Job Summary

• Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weighs and measures designated ingredients.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
• Stores food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Utilizes approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service.
• Resolves customer concerns and relays relevant information to supervisor.
• Ensures compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
• Assures compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
