Job summary

2020 Companies seeks a Retail Engagement Specialist to build relationships with retailers in the WA Seattle market and educate them on the client’s financial services and program benefits. You will visit stores, support merchants in-store, and ensure a strong customer experience across the territory.

The role is field-based with daily travel, approximately 22-35 visits per day, and a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• Requires a personal vehicle, valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) screening.
• Field-based role visiting local retailers to maximize program value and serve as the brand face in the field.

Responsibilities

• Visit retail locations within territory and engage with merchants professionally.

• Provide on-site support, answer questions, and address concerns to ensure understanding.

Requirements

This position requires a personal vehicle, valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) screening.

This is a field-based role where you will visit local retailers and ensure they understand how to maximize the value of the program. You will serve as the face of the brand in the field building relationships, providing education, and ensuring a strong customer experience at each location.

What You’ll Do

• Visit retail locations within your assigned territory and engage with merchants in a professional, relationship-focused manner
• Introduce and educate new merchants on the client’s financial services and program benefits
• Provide on-site support, answer questions, and address concerns to ensure merchant understanding and confidence
• Place and maintain point-of-sale materials and branding in-store
• Document visits and track activity using mobile tools and reporting systems
• Work closely with leadership to ensure territory goals and coverage expectations are met

• Field-based position with daily travel within your assigned territory
• Approximately 22-35 retail visits per day depending on geography and scheduling
• Mix of in-store engagement, driving, and administrative follow-up

Job Description

• Partner with the client to train and advocate client products at the retailer
• Drive merchant awareness within your assigned territory
• Maintain professional interaction with both merchants and fellow employees
• Attempt to place point of purchase signage on exterior and/or interior of business
• Advise merchants by providing information on products
• Audit and record competitive products, promotions, merchandising, displays and merchant feedback
• Travel to major markets and events for iconic launches to promote products
• Contribute to team effort by assisting in launch-related activities, as needed
• Responsible for accurately tracking and communicating all activity to Retail Operations
• Ensure feedback reporting is submitted in timely manner

Performance Measurements

• Meet or exceed quarterly visit goals
• Meet or exceed weekly in store time goals
• Visit multiple store locations on a daily and weekly basis
• Effectively schedule store visits two weeks or more in advance
• Effectively execute assigned activities inside each location during all visits
• Effectively demonstrate an ability to establish and influence business relationships through merchant awareness, POP placement and consistent productivity
• Record and maintain appropriate documentation for each visit

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience required
• Six (6) months prior sales, promotion, retail, or marketing experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of products and services
• Excellent communications, presentation, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Impeccable integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction
• Ability to lift and carry up to 15 lbs. at a time
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, team environment
• Ability to maintain customer confidentiality
• Reliable transportation within assigned territory
