MERS/Missouri Goodwill Industries in Moberly, MO is seeking a Retail Donation Attendant at the Moberly Store - Morley to support donor interactions and store operations.

The role offers hourly full-time employment at $15.50 per hour with a monthly bonus up to $250, plus comprehensive benefits for employees working 30+ hours.

You will sort donations, assist customers, maintain store cleanliness, and uphold safety and the Goodwill values.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred; no degree required.
• Effective communication with coworkers, customers and management.
• Organized and able to interact with a diverse workforce.
• Basic math: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive customer service, greet donors, assist with donations and issue receipts.
• Handle donations with care and respect.
• Sort donated and purchased goods into categories (sales floor, seasonal, online, outlet, trash).
• Notify management of hazardous or inappropriate items.
• Maintain store cleanliness and organize shelves and floor areas.
• Maintain safe work practices and keep aisles debris-free.
• Uphold professional appearance and dress code.
• Safeguard assets, including cash and donated items; report theft.
• Work collaboratively with teams to improve communication.
• Support flexible schedules and contribute to a welcoming store environment.

Qualifications

Primary Duties/Responsibilities

• Provide positive customer service interactions, including greetings, assisting donors with their donation drop off, and offering thanks and any donation incentive and tax receipt.
• Handles all donations with care and respect.
• Sorts donated goods and purchased goods into categories: sales floor, seasonal, online sales, outlet, and trash, according to established guidelines.
• Notifies management of hazardous, valuable, or inappropriate merchandise/materials being donated.
• Maintains high quality and high quantity standards while working quickly and steadily.
• Stocks straighten, rotate, and maintain the cleanliness of the entire store area efficiently and to standard.
• Upholds store cleanliness standards by sweeping, dusting, mopping, and shining surfaces.
• Establishes and maintains positive and professional relationships with team members and leadership and works cross-functionally with other teams to increase communication.
• Utilizes safe work practices through awareness and observation and contributes to ensuring the workplace is hazard-free by removing obstructions and keeping aisles and designated walkways debris-free.
• Maintain a professional appearance always, adhering to MERS/Goodwill's dress code.
• Safeguards agency assets, including cash, donated items, and purchased items, from harm, damage, or theft. Reports any incidents of theft or unauthorized possession of agency assets.
• Must adhere to all MERS/Goodwill policies, Goodwill Retail procedures, and safety and security regulations.
• All other duties as assigned.
• Monthly Bonus Up to $250.00
• Individual and family medical benefits for full-time employees working 30 or more hours per week.
