Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. is seeking a front-end supervisor to oversee Associates at the store level and ensure a positive customer experience. You will model outstanding service, train staff, and coordinate POS coverage while promoting loyalty programs.

Ideal candidates have 1 year of retail and at least 6 months of leadership experience, with strong merchandising, communication, and multitasking abilities. Flexible scheduling, including nights and weekends, is required.

Qualifications

• Requires 1 year of retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience.
• Excellent merchandising knowledge and a strong customer service focus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Willingness to train and mentor Associates on front-end principles.
• Ability to adapt to changes and handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Promote an excellent customer experience by leading front-end activities.
• Supervise Associates at the front of store, ensuring courteous service and loyalty program promotion.
• Train and coach Associates on personalizing the customer experience and promoting loyalty programs.
• Assign registers, coordinate breaks, and manage POS coverage as needed.
• Address customer concerns promptly and maintain a clean, organized store.
• Communicate priorities clearly to staff and provide progress updates.
• Support and participate in safety, labor policy adherence, and loss-prevention efforts.

Responsible for promoting an excellent customer experience. Oversees a team of Associates at front of store ensuring prompt, courteous customer service and promotion of loyalty programs. Leads by example by engaging and interacting with all customers, and maintaining a clean and organized store. Role models outstanding customer service.

• Creates a positive internal and external customer experience
• Promotes a culture of honesty and integrity; maintains confidentiality
• Takes an active role in training and mentoring Associates on front end principles
• Trains and coaches Associates on personalizing the customer experience while promoting loyalty programs
• Assigns registers, supports and responds to POS coverage needs, and coordinates breaks for all Associates
• Addresses customer concerns and issues promptly, ensuring a positive customer experience
• Ensures Associates execute tasks and activities according to store plan; prioritizes as needed
• Communicates accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities; provides progress updates
• Provides and accepts recognition and constructive feedback
• Partners with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness
• Ensures adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs
• Supports and participates in store shrink reduction goals and programs
• Promotes safety awareness and maintains a safe environment
• Other duties as assigned
