The TJX Companies, Inc. is hiring at TJ Maxx in East Aurora, NY for a frontline leadership role. You will supervise associates, model outstanding service, and promote loyalty programs while keeping the store clean and organized.

You will train teammates, manage POS coverage, and respond to customer concerns, all while ensuring compliance with policies and labor laws. A flexible schedule including nights and weekends is required.

• 1 year retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience
• Available to work flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
• Strong merchandising knowledge and multi-tasking ability
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, attention to detail
• Team player capable of training others and adapting to direction

• Assigns registers, coordinates breaks, and supports POS coverage
• Addresses customer concerns promptly and communicates priorities to management
• Ensures adherence to labor laws, policies, and store procedures
• Promotes safety and shrink-reduction programs

Job Description:

• Responsible for promoting an excellent customer experience. Oversees a team of Associates at front of store ensuring prompt, courteous customer service and promotion of loyalty programs. Leads by example by engaging and interacting with all customers, and maintaining a clean and organized store. Role models outstanding customer service.


• Creates a positive internal and external customer experience


• Promotes a culture of honesty and integrity; maintains confidentiality


• Takes an active role in training and mentoring Associates on front end principles


• Trains and coaches Associates on personalizing the customer experience while promoting loyalty programs


• Assigns registers, supports and responds to POS coverage needs, and coordinates breaks for all Associates


• Addresses customer concerns and issues promptly, ensuring a positive customer experience


• Ensures Associates execute tasks and activities according to store plan; prioritizes as needed


• Communicates accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities; provides progress updates


• Provides and accepts recognition and constructive feedback


• Partners with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness


• Ensures adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures


• Promotes credit and loyalty programs


• Supports and participates in store shrink reduction goals and programs


• Promotes safety awareness and maintains a safe environment


• Other duties as assigned

This position has a starting pay range of USD $17.00 to $17.50 per hour. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
