Job summary

Dollar General is seeking team members in Sumter, SC to support daily store operations and customer service. You will assist customers, stock merchandise, and help maintain attractive displays while protecting assets.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, operating the cash register, and following planogram guidance. A high school diploma is preferred, with emphasis on teamwork and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; stock merchandise.
• Build merchandise displays.
• Stock merchandise; rotate and face on shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Bail cardboard and take out trash; dust and mop store floors; clean restrooms and stockroom.
• Greet customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to total purchases; bag merchandise.
• Collect payment and make change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners.
• Clean front end of store and help set up sidewalk displays when necessary.
