Job Description: Retail Team Lead at TJ Maxx

Position Summary:

The Team Lead is responsible for delivering an excellent customer experience by overseeing front-of-store associates, ensuring prompt, courteous service, and promoting loyalty programs. This role models outstanding customer service, maintains store organization, and supports team development.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Foster a positive customer experience both internally and externally.
  2. Promote a culture of honesty, integrity, and confidentiality.
  3. Train and mentor associates on front-end principles and personalized customer service.
  4. Manage register assignments, POS coverage, and breaks.
  5. Address customer concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.
  6. Ensure store tasks are completed according to plan, prioritizing as needed.
  7. Communicate effectively with management and team members regarding priorities and progress.
  8. Provide and receive recognition and constructive feedback.
  9. Collaborate with management on training needs to enhance team effectiveness.
  10. Ensure compliance with labor laws, policies, and safety standards.
  11. Promote credit and loyalty programs and support shrink reduction initiatives.
  12. Maintain a safe environment and promote safety awareness.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Flexible schedule availability, including nights and weekends.
  • Strong understanding of merchandising techniques.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to change.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Team player capable of training others.
  • Minimum of 1 year retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience.
