Job summary

Love's Travel Stops is hiring cashiers to provide fast, friendly, and accurate service to customers in a busy store environment. You will handle transactions, assist customers with questions, and help keep the store clean and organized.

No prior experience required as training will be provided. This role offers a team-oriented culture and opportunities for growth within a large, nationwide network of travel stop locations.

Qualifications

• Experience in cash handling and customer interactions.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in finding items and answering questions.
• Balance cash register and process transactions accurately.
• Ensure food safety practices for fresh foods and deli items.
• Maintain cleanliness of the working area, sales floor, restrooms, and pumps.
• Assist in cross-training in other departments as needed.
• Move and lift items; work in varying temperatures.

They may perform various duties depending on business needs so flexibility and teamwork skills are important. No experience? No problem. We will teach you!

Job Functions

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, helping customers find items, answering questions about products and services, and addressing customer needs.
• Balancing a cash register by completing customer transactions and offering additional sales opportunities to customers while following all state and local laws.
• Use a variety of methods and technology to ensure proper food safety conditions of our fresh food and deli products.
• Responsibility for cleaning your direct working area, the sales floor, restrooms, showers, gas/diesel pumps, and completing trash runs.
• Additional duties could include cross training in other departments such as Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
