Job summary

Love's Travel Stops is hiring cashiers to provide fast, friendly service in a busy retail environment. You’ll handle transactions, help customers locate items, and keep the store clean and well-organized.

We emphasize teamwork, flexibility, and teaching new skills as needed. This role offers on-the-job training and opportunities for growth within a long-standing family-owned company.

Qualifications

• Must provide friendly, accurate customer service and handle transactions efficiently.
• Ability to operate a POS system and balance cash at shift end.
• Wlexible in duties and cross-trained across departments when needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with locating items and answering questions.
• Balance cash drawer and process transactions accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness of the sales floor, registers, and work area.
• Assist in food service areas and other departments as needed.
• Support teamwork and adapt to varying shifts and customer needs.

Job Functions

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, helping customers find items, answering questions about products and services, and addressing customer needs.
• Balancing a cash register by completing customer transactions and offering additional sales opportunities to customers while following all state and local laws.
• Use a variety of methods and technology to ensure proper food safety conditions of our fresh food and deli products.
• Responsibility for cleaning your direct working area, the sales floor, restrooms, showers, gas/diesel pumps, and completing trash runs.
• Additional duties could include cross training in other departments such as Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
