Job summary

Love's Travel Stops is seeking friendly cashiers to deliver fast, accurate service in a busy store environment. You will help customers locate items, process transactions, and ensure clean, safe food handling in our deli and fresh-food areas.

Responsibilities

• General customer service duties including helping customers find items and answering questions.
• Balancing a cash register by completing transactions and promoting additional sales while complying with laws.
• Use of various methods to ensure food safety for fresh foods and deli products.
• Responsible for cleaning and maintaining your area, showroom, restrooms, and pumps; manage trash.
• Cross training in departments such as Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, and Facility Maintenance.
• Ability to lift 25+ pounds and work in varied temperatures.

Job Functions

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, helping customers find items, answering questions about products and services, and addressing customer needs.
• Balancing a cash register by completing customer transactions and offering additional sales opportunities to customers while following all state and local laws.
• Use a variety of methods and technology to ensure proper food safety conditions of our fresh food and deli products.
• Responsibility for cleaning your direct working area, the sales floor, restrooms, showers, gas/diesel pumps, and completing trash runs.
• Additional duties could include cross training in other departments such as Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
