Job summary

Dollar Tree in Mobile, Alabama is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to help customers, manage transactions, restock shelves, and keep the store clean and welcoming.

You will handle cash, assist with unloading trucks, maintain store security of cash and assets, and provide friendly service to customers and colleagues.

Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred, and a HS diploma is recommended; training will cover policies and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, trash, and overall presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
