Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).
• Effective communication skills.
• Any retail experience is a plus.
• Second language (speaking, reading and/or writing) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the department manager to reach sales and profit goals established for the department.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and adhere to food safety guidelines as applicable.
• Deliver exceptional customer service following the Customer 1st strategy.
• Answer questions about products and provide recommendations to customers.
• Check product quality, monitor shelf life, and ensure correct labeling and stocking.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Maintain positive attitude and stay current with ads and promotions.
• Notify management of safety risks or incidents.
