POSITION SUMMARY:

The Store Consultant consistently delivers a positive customer experience by utilizing consultative skills to anticipate customer needs, suggest alternatives, and provide solutions. This team member is knowledgeable in all areas of the Store’s business, including print, signs & graphics, and shipping. Responsibilities include taking orders, coordinating store activities, providing pricing and product information, and recommending FedEx Office products and services. The Store Consultant operates and maintains various equipment, manages the production queue, handles complex projects, manages retail supplies, and completes tasks based on priority.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follow supervisor instructions and assist team members in store functions
  • Help train store team members
Service
  • Use consultative behaviors to understand and meet customer needs
  • Provide expertise in printing, signs & graphics, and shipping, and recommend appropriate products/services
  • Ensure outstanding customer service by anticipating needs and offering solutions
  • Resolve customer problems promptly and satisfactorily
  • Take complex orders, provide accurate pricing
  • Prepare parcels for shipping, operate printing and related equipment
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly store
Profit
  • Handle customer data confidentially and manage documents/media securely
  • Process transactions via POS, handle cash and make change
  • Maintain and repair store equipment and supplies
  • Display retail products and signage properly
  • Prevent errors and waste proactively
  • Complete financial paperwork, assist in financial reporting
  • Follow operational, safety, HR, and security policies
Self-Management
  • Perform multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Seek opportunities to improve skills
  • Operate independently with minimal supervision
  • Adhere to company standards and policies
  • Perform other duties as needed
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 6 months of specialized experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Meet employment qualifications at hire or transfer
