Dollar Tree is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our team in New Jersey. You will assist customers, handle transactions, and maintain a clean, secure store environment while supporting stock replenishment and safety.

Responsibilities include customer questions, transaction management, merchandise handling, and ensuring professional interactions with customers and colleagues. No prior experience required beyond a strong service mindset and ability to lift 30–50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs from floor to above shoulder height.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Provide a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms and floors.
