Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Pennsylvania LLC in Linwood, NJ is seeking a Customer Service Associate to assist customers, handle transactions, and maintain a clean, safe store environment. You will be part of a team delivering friendly service, stocking shelves, and unloading merchandise as needed.

The role emphasizes strong communication, reliability, and the ability to follow procedures, with responsibilities spanning from cash handling to store upkeep and customer engagement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash
• Other duties as assigned
