Job summary

TJ Maxx in Riverdale, UT is seeking a front-end leadership role to oversee Associates at the front of the store, ensuring prompt, courteous service and loyalty program promotion. You will model outstanding customer service and help maintain a clean, organized store while engaging with customers.

Required are 1 year of retail experience and 6 months of leadership exposure, with strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Strong merchandising knowledge and ability to apply it in-store.
• Ability to multi-task while ensuring high service standards.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Comfortable training and coaching other Associates.

Responsibilities

• Creates a positive internal and external customer experience.

• Trains and mentors Associates on front end principles.
• Trains and coaches Associates on personalizing the customer experience while promoting loyalty programs.
• Assigns registers, supports and responds to POS coverage needs, and coordinates breaks for all Associates.
• Addresses customer concerns and issues promptly, ensuring a positive customer experience.
• Ensures Associates execute tasks according to store plan; prioritizes as needed.
• Communicates with management and Associates on priorities and progress.
• Provides and accepts feedback and recognition.
• Partners with Management on training needs to increase effectiveness.
• Ensures adherence to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs.
• Supports shrink reduction goals and safety initiatives.

• Provides and accepts recognition and constructive feedback
• Partners with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness
• Ensures adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs
• Supports and participates in store shrink reduction goals and programs
• Promotes safety awareness and maintains a safe environment
