Job summary

Love's Travel Stops is seeking a dedicated cashier to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will provide fast, friendly, and accurate service to customers, process transactions, and maintain a clean facility across our Love’s locations in Kentucky.

Qualifications

• Customer service orientation is required.
• Ability to operate a cash register and process transactions.
• Teamwork and flexibility to handle varying duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with locating items and answering questions.
• Balance cash register and process transactions, with upsell opportunities.
• Ensure food safety for fresh foods and deli products using proper procedures.
• Keep the sales floor, direct working area, restrooms and pumps clean and stocked.
• Cross-train in other departments such as Restaurant Services and Maintenance.

Job Functions

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, helping customers find items, answering questions about products and services, and addressing customer needs.
• Balancing a cash register by completing customer transactions and offering additional sales opportunities to customers while following all state and local laws.
• Use a variety of methods and technology to ensure proper food safety conditions of our fresh food and deli products.
• Responsibility for cleaning your direct working area, the sales floor, restrooms, showers, gas/diesel pumps, and completing trash runs.
• Additional duties could include cross training in other departments such as Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
