Love's Travel Stops is hiring cashiers at our New Baden, IL location. You’ll provide fast, friendly, and accurate service, help customers find items, and manage transactions in a busy, team-driven environment.

No prior experience required—we train you. We emphasize flexibility, proper cash handling, food safety for our deli items, and opportunities for growth with benefits like tuition assistance and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• Ability to balance cash register and handle transactions.
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced convenience store setting.

Responsabilités

• General customer service duties including helping customers find items and answering questions.
• Balancing a cash register by completing transactions and promoting additional sales.
• Maintain food safety for deli products and keep work areas clean.
• Clean sales floor, restrooms, pumps, and complete trash runs.
• May cross-train in other departments and assume leadership tasks as needed.
• Lift 25+ pounds and work in varying temperatures.

They may perform various duties depending on business needs so flexibility and teamwork skills are important. No experience? No problem. We will teach you!

Job Functions

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, helping customers find items, answering questions about products and services, and addressing customer needs.
• Balancing a cash register by completing customer transactions and offering additional sales opportunities to customerswhile following all state and local laws.
• Use a variety of methods and technology to ensure proper food safety conditions of our fresh food and deli products.
• Responsibility for cleaning your direct working area, the sales floor, restrooms, showers, gas/diesel pumps, and completing trash runs.
• Additional duties could include cross training in other departments such as Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds.Ability to work in various temperatures.
