Job summary

Love's Travel Stops is seeking team members for cashier roles in a fast-paced retail and service environment. You will assist customers, handle transactions, and contribute to clean, efficient stores and fueling stations.

No prior experience is required as on-the-job training is provided. Expect flexible scheduling and opportunities to learn across departments, with emphasis on customer service and safety in a busy setting.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills are important.
• Able to balance accuracy with speed in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• General customer service duties including helping customers find items and answering questions.
• Balance a cash register by completing transactions and upselling where appropriate.
• Maintain food safety standards for fresh food and deli products.
• Clean and organize your working area, sales floor, restrooms, and pumps as required.
• Cross-training in other departments such as Restaurant Services and Facility Maintenance could occur.
• Ability to move and lift 25+ pounds and work in varying temperatures.

Job Functions

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, helping customers find items, answering questions about products and services, and addressing customer needs.
• Balancing a cash register by completing customer transactions and offering additional sales opportunities to customers while following all state and local laws.
• Use a variety of methods and technology to ensure proper food safety conditions of our fresh food and deli products.
• Responsibility for cleaning your direct working area, the sales floor, restrooms, showers, gas/diesel pumps, and completing trash runs.
• Additional duties could include cross training in other departments such as Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
