Job summary

Jacksons Food Stores, Inc. is seeking Retail Cashier Floaters to support multiple store locations within a designated region, covering shifts as needed. This mobile role offers hands-on experience across stores and opportunities to meet customers and grow in retail.

The position includes full-time hours, flexible shifts including nights, weekends and holidays, and benefits. You will greet customers, handle fast, accurate checkout, and promote promotions while maintaining store upkeep.

Responsibilities

• Follow all laws regarding the sale of restricted items (alcohol, tobacco).
• Reconcile paperwork and complete daily deposits for floaters.

We’re looking for enthusiastic, flexible, and service-driven individuals to join our team as Retail Cashier Floaters. This dynamic, mobile role supports multiple store locations within a designated region, providing critical coverage for staff absences, vacations, or open roles. Schedule:

Flexible shifts – including nights, weekends, and holidays

Shift: full-time.

• Same Day Pay - Access your earnings when you need them
• Fuel Discount - $.20 off per gallon (up to 100 gallons)

• $1.00 more per hour for overnight shifts (10 PM - 7 AM)

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Greet every customer with a smile and a friendly attitude.
• Provide fast, accurate checkout and share promotions or discounts.
• Stock and rotate products on shelves and in coolers.
• Maintain cleanliness inside and outside the store.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and safety procedures.
• Follow all laws regarding the sale of restricted items (alcohol, tobacco).
• In Oregon (and where needed), assist with fueling and windshield cleaning.
• Book Floaters: Reconcile paperwork and complete daily deposits.
• Take on additional responsibilities as needed.

• Must be willing to travel to different locations and cover various shifts.
• Retail or cashier experience preferred.
• Strong customer service skills and positive attitude.

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, you are frequently required to stand, walk, bend, and twist; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; and talk and listen.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 65 pounds.
• Work safely in work conditions that include heat, cold, allergen, noise, and fume/chemical/odor from gasoline and cleaning chemicals.
