Job summary

Sodexo at Concordia University Austin is seeking a full-time Cashier to support the retail operation. You will handle cash and credit transactions, operate the POS, and assist with setup, supplies, and closing procedures on shift.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 0–1 year of related experience. Some locations may require alcohol-service certification and compliance with local regulations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 1 year related experience.
• If alcohol is served at the location, must be at or over the minimum age to serve alcohol, based on local city and state regulations.
• Depending on the location, may require a valid alcohol-service certification (TIPS/TEAM) and must comply with state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operates a cash register and handles cash/credit transactions, providing receipts.
• Delivers the highest quality of service to customers at all times.
• Maintains proper security of cash at all times.
• Significant walking or mobility required; ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds, and move items as needed.
• Attends scheduled shifts on time and with regularity.
• Other duties may be assigned based on account needs.
