Big 5 Sporting Goods Corporation is seeking a customer-focused cashier to operate the front-counter POS system and ensure a smooth shopping experience. You will greet customers, handle transactions, and support sales with product recommendations.

Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills, reliability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. This position is on-site at our California stores with benefits including employee discounts and paid sick leave.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic math and organizational abilities.

• Light to moderate lifting may be required.

Responsabilités

• Provide excellent customer service at entry and exit to create a positive shopping experience.
• Direct sales associates using the PA system.
• Answer phone calls and respond to customer inquiries.
• Recommend products and suggest add-on sales.
• Cash-handling and bagging of purchased merchandise.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked sales floor.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
