Qualifications

• Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend English and communicate effectively.
• Mathematical Skills: Add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers and decimals.
• Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense to follow detailed instructions.
• Computer Skills: Basic computer and POS system use.
• Ability to use cash register, 10-key calculator, count money.

Responsibilities

• Collect cash, checks, or card payments from customers and make change.
• Count money in the cash drawer at start and end of shift to balance sales.
• Record daily transaction amounts from the register to balance drawer.
• Bag merchandise, issue receipts, and redeem promotional coupons.
• Review price sheets for accuracy on gas, deli, beer, liquor, tobacco and sale items.
• Record prices and department data in the register for tax accuracy.
• Stock and clean shelves and mark item prices.
• Swipe IDs to verify age for tobacco, beer, liquor and lottery sales.
• Promote customer satisfaction on all purchases.
• Greet customers as they enter the store.
