Job summary

GPM Investments is looking for a Cashier/Sales Associate at Store 4616 in Albuquerque, NM. This full-time role includes greeting customers, running the register, and ensuring a neat, safe store environment from 1pm to 10pm during 2nd shift.

You will handle lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales with proper age verification, upsell where appropriate, and maintain high store standards. Prior retail experience is helpful but not required, and opportunities for advancement exist within the company.

Qualifications

• Age 21 or older
• Availability to work weekends and holidays
• Able to stand for long periods and be on feet most of the shift
• English reading/writing/speaking required
• Basic math skills (add/sub/mul/div)
• Physical: lift 10 lbs frequently, up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Friendly, reliable, and customer-focused
• Willing to cross-train in other departments including deli

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and operate the register with accuracy and speed
• Learn lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales with age-verification compliance
• Provide friendly service and upsell when possible
• Keep store clean and safe inside and out (restrooms, pumps, lot)
• Stock shelves, coolers, and displays; maintain neat merchandise
• Maintain overall store cleanliness: floors, windows, entryways
• Cross-train in other departments as needed
• Follow safety procedures and company policies
• Be a team player and help where needed
