Big 5 Sporting Goods is seeking an energetic, sports-minded individual to join our customer service team. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, detail-oriented, with a solid customer service background and relevant educational experience. Cashiers are responsible for managing the front counter POS (register) terminal. Additional duties include cash handling, bagging merchandise, greeting customers, answering phones, directing sales associates via PA system, stocking shelves, and maintaining the sales floor. The goal is to ensure a pleasant shopping experience for all customers.

Minimum Requirements

1. Must be 18 years of age or older
2. Basic organizational and math skills
3. Subject to E-Verify upon accepting the position
4. Ability to lift light to moderate loads, with or without reasonable accommodation
5. Effective communication and interaction skills
