Job summary

Jacksons Food Stores in Troutdale, OR is seeking a part-time Retail Cashier to be the friendly face at the register and support store operations. You will greet customers, process sales, stock and keep areas clean, and help ensure a great shopping experience.

The position offers a 2:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m. shift (weekends/holidays included) with pay at $17.50 per hour, plus benefits, discounts, and opportunities for advancement within the company.

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer with a smile and thank them for their business.
• Provide fast, friendly, and professional checkout experiences.
• Promote store specials and suggest additional purchases.
• Ring up sales accurately and follow all company policies, including those related to restricted product sales (alcohol, tobacco).
• Maintain store cleanliness, inside and out.
• Restock shelves, coolers, and displays as needed.
• Assist in cleaning and stocking the food service area.
• Follow all food handling, preparation, storage, and sanitation procedures.
• Rotate and properly label inventory.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Shift: part-time 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, frequently required to stand, walk, bend, and twist; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; and talk and listen.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 65 pounds.
• Work safely in work conditions that include heat, cold, allergen, noise, and fume/chemical/odor from gasoline and cleaning chemicals.
