MERS Missouri Goodwill is hiring a Retail Cashier for our Jefferson City store – Ten Mile team. The ideal candidate will be energetic, self-motivated, and professional, supporting our mission and core values.

No degree is required; HS Diploma/GED preferred. You will greet customers, operate the cash register, maintain store cleanliness, and collaborate cross-functionally to serve shoppers while ensuring safety and asset protection. Monthly bonus up to $250 plus comprehensive benefits are offered.

Mansioni

• Greet customers and acknowledge them as they enter the store; assist on the sales floor and answer the phone professionally.
• Operate the store cash register: cash handling, credit card transactions, discounts, returns, and balancing.
• Stock, straighten, rotate, and maintain cleanliness of the store area efficiently and to standard.
• Request assistance from managers for returns, exchanges, and customer complaints.
• Uphold store cleanliness standards by sweeping, dusting, mopping, and shining surfaces.
• Maintain positive relationships with team members and work cross-functionally to improve communication.
• Follow safe work practices and help keep the workplace hazards-free by removing obstructions.
• Maintain professional appearance per dress code; safeguard assets including cash and donated items; report incidents.
• All other duties as assigned.
• Monthly Bonus up to $250.00

Primary Duties/Responsibilities

• Make customers a priority by greeting and acknowledging them as they enter the store, helping on the sales floor, and answering the phone within three rings with a professional greeting.
• Operates the store cash register: cash handling credit card transactions, appropriate discount returns, and cash register balancing.
• Stocks straighten, rotate, and maintain the cleanliness of the entire store area efficiently and to standard.
• Request assistance from managers for returns, exchanges, and customer complaints.
• Upholds store cleanliness standards by sweeping, dusting, mopping, and shining surfaces.
• Establishes and maintains positive and professional relationships with team members and leadership and works cross-functionally with other teams to increase communication.
• Utilizes safe work practices through awareness and observation.
• Contributes to ensuring the workplace is hazard-free by removing obstructions and keeping aisles and designated walkways debris-free.
• Maintain a professional appearance always, adhering to MERS/Goodwill's dress code.
• Safeguards agency assets, including cash, donated items, and purchased items, from harm, damage, or theft. Reports any incidents of theft or unauthorized possession of agency assets.
• Must adhere to all MERS/Goodwill policies, Goodwill Retail procedures and safety and security regulations.
• All other duties as assigned.
• Monthly Bonus up to $250.00
