Job summary

Jacksons Food Stores, Inc. is hiring for a part-time cashier at Store #164 in Caldwell, ID. You will greet customers, handle fast checkout, promote specials, and ensure accurate transactions and compliance with age-restricted product rules.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean store, restocking, stocking food-service areas, and following sanitation procedures. Benefits and opportunities for advancement are included.

• Provide fast, friendly checkout experiences.
• Promote store specials and upsell.
• Ring up sales accurately and follow policies on age-restricted products.
• Maintain store cleanliness inside and out.
• Restock shelves, coolers, and displays as needed.
• Assist in cleaning and stocking the food service area.
• Follow all food handling, preparation, and sanitation procedures.
• Rotate and properly label inventory.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Pay:

$15.50 an hour.

Shift:

Part-time 2:00pm - Midnight.

• Ring up sales accurately and follow all company policies, including those related to restricted product sales (alcohol, tobacco)
• Maintain store cleanliness, inside and out

• Follow all food handling, preparation, storage, and sanitation procedures
• Rotate and properly label inventory

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, frequently required to stand, walk, bend, and twist; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; and talk and listen.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 65 pounds.
• Work safely in work conditions that include heat, cold, allergen, noise, and fume/chemical/odor from gasoline and cleaning chemicals.
