Job summary

Meijer is hiring a Cashier in Ohio to deliver efficient, friendly service at the checkout, ensuring accurate transactions and a positive customer experience.

You will use the cash register system, handle money responsibly, answer questions, and build trust with customers to encourage return visits.

Starting pay is $14.50 per hour with scheduling flexibility on our three busiest days; union pay scale may influence starting rate.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Strong listening and communications skills (face-to-face and virtual).
• Willingness to learn or existing familiarity with job-specific technology.
• Problem-solving competence and eagerness to troubleshoot when necessary.
• Desire to work with customers.
• Previous retail or customer experience preferred but not required.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Detail oriented and organized.
• Friendly outgoing attitude.
• Ability to operate cashier register system.

As a Cashier, you will craft quality customer experiences by providing efficient, effective customer service in the checkout lane that creates a positive and lasting impact on Meijer customers.

Hiring Immediately at no less than $14.50/hour. Starting rate is based on experience and the Union Pay Scale.

Required Scheduling Availability: Days are flexible, but you must be available on our 3 busiest sales days (F, S, S) and you must be available to be scheduled until 10:00pm but until 12:30am is preferred.
