Jacksons Food Stores, Inc. is hiring a Retail Cashier / Customer Service Associate in Auburn, WA. You’ll greet customers, handle fast, accurate checkouts, and promote current specials while ensuring alcohol and tobacco sales comply with age restrictions.

The role requires 21+ years old and offers a part-time schedule from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. with benefits, perqs, and growth opportunities within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old to work in role.
• Flexible availability for a 24/7 operation including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Retail, cashier, or customer service experience is a plus but not required.
• Excellent communication and a friendly, helpful attitude.
• Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer with a warm smile and friendly attitude.
• Deliver a fast, accurate, and professional checkout experience.
• Promote current sales and suggest additional items to enhance customer experience.
• Process transactions accurately, including alcohol and tobacco per age verification laws.
• Maintain cleanliness inside and outside the store, including fuel islands.
• Stock shelves, coolers, and displays with fresh, organized products.
• Assist in foodservice and coffee areas, including cleaning and restocking.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and labeling procedures.
• Support team members and complete additional duties as assigned.

Pay: $17.50 - $18.50 an hour.

Shift: part-time 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Must be 21 years old to work in this role.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Skills/Qualifications:

• Must be 21+ to meet legal age requirements for regulated product sales.
• Our stores require flexible availability for a 24/7 operation (including nights, weekends, and holidays)
• Previous retail, cashier, or customer service experience a plus, but not required.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, helpful attitude.
• A commitment to delivering outstanding customer experiences.
• Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independently.
• Quick thinking, adaptable, and dependable.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand for an extended period.
• While performing the duties of this job, frequently required to stand, walk, bend, and twist; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; and talk and listen.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 65 pounds.
• Work safely in work conditions that include heat, cold, allergen, noise, and fume/chemical/odor from gasoline and cleaning chemicals.
