Jacksons Food Stores, Inc. in Albany, Oregon is seeking a part-time Retail Cashier to greet customers and manage the register while assisting with stocking and store upkeep.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a smile and thank them for their business
• Provide fast, friendly checkout experiences
• Promote store specials and suggest additional purchases
• Ring up sales accurately and follow policies on restricted products (alcohol, tobacco)
• Maintain store cleanliness
• Restock shelves, coolers, and displays as needed
• Assist in cleaning and stocking the food service area
• Follow all food handling, preparation, storage, and sanitation procedures
• Rotate and properly label inventory
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job description

Pay: $16.00 an hour.

Shift: part-time, shift could be between 5:00 a.m. and Midnight.

• Ring up sales accurately and follow all company policies, including those related to restricted product sales (alcohol, tobacco)

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, frequently required to stand, walk, bend, and twist; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; and talk and listen.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 65 pounds.
• Work safely in work conditions that include heat, cold, allergen, noise, and fume/chemical/odor from gasoline and cleaning chemicals.
