Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is seeking a Retail/Cafe Manager in Minnesota to oversee multiple cafe operations. The role focuses on enterprise standards, guest experience, and collaboration with retail leaders, technology partners, vendors, and internal teams.

A strong emphasis on financials and program rollout is required. The position supports planning, budgeting, and forecasting while ensuring consistency in retail operations and menus across sites.

Qualifications

• Culinary, hospitality or food service degree preferred, or A.A. Degree plus related experience
• Three or more years supervisory experience in food service operations

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and implementation of enterprise retail/cafe projects
• Supports all financials including pricing, budget development, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Acts as a liaison between site operations and vendors, including those for point of sale, online ordering and digital signage
• Builds, maintains and troubleshoots online ordering platforms in select cafes
• Maintains knowledge of the market place and trends
• Manages cost controls and control expenditures
• Rolls out new culinary programs in conjunction with Company marketing and culinary team
• Assist with maintaining consistency in retail standards, procedures, signage, merchandising and guest experience expectations
• Understands reporting platforms and assists in data gathering and intelligence

Job Summary

The Retail/Cafe Manager position is an exciting opportunity for an energetic, entrepreneurial manager who is constantly seeking a better way to conduct business. This position will provide operational, administrative, project, and systems support for multiple retail café operations across a system. This role works closely with retail leaders, café teams, technology partneres, vendors and other internal stakeholders to help ensure consistent execution of enterprise retail standards, initiviatives systems and guest experience strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and implementation of enterprise retail/cafe projects
• Supports all financials including pricing, budget development, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Acts as a liaison between site operations and vendors, including those for point of sale, online ordering and digital signage
• Builds, maintains and troubleshoots online ordering platforms in select cafes
• Maintains knowledge of the market place and trends

Preferred Qualifications

• Culinary, hospitality or food service degree preferred, or A.A. Degree plus related experience
• Three or more years supervisory experience in food service operations

Experience With Point-of-sale, Digital Signage, Or Other Retail Systems

• Supervisory experience in a healthcare, senior living, retirement or related environment desirable
• Knowledge of retail, food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
• Leadership, management and coaching skills
• Communication skills both written and verbal
• Financial, budgetary, accounting and computational skills
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office programs, e-mail, the Internet and other necessary computer programs
• ServSafe® Certified
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues, follow through on commitments, and elevate appropriately
• Some travel up to 25% may be required
