Job summary

Bi-Mart Corporation in Sisters, Oregon is seeking a meticulous Bookkeeper to handle daily sales reconciliation, banking, and general accounting tasks while providing friendly customer service when needed.

You will investigate discrepancies, manage returned checks and game commission records, file and organize documents, and work closely with management. After bookkeeping tasks, you may assist customers on the sales floor.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing.
• Knowledge of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable practices.
• Experience with calculating, posting, and managing accounting figures and financial records.
• Strong data entry and numeric skills.
• Capability to arrive on time with a positive and friendly attitude.
• Ability to set priorities and organize workload.
• Talent to efficiently solve problems and offer solutions to customers.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Daily sales reconcilement, banking, and other accounting functions.
• Investigate and report accounting discrepancies to management.
• Handle returned checks, game commission record keeping and reporting.
• Sort and distribute U.S. and company mail.
• File and keep records.
• Work closely with management.
• After bookkeeping responsibilities are met, remaining hours may be spent working on the sales floor, helping customers and performing other duties as assigned.
