SUMMARY
The Retail Operations Specialist supports consistent Retail operations across all branches through procedure ownership, training, system administration, reporting, and operational support. This includes writing, reviewing, and updating Retail procedures; communicating changes to Retail teams; and supporting new hire and ongoing training. This position also provides subject matter expertise for IRA, HSA, safe deposit box, specialty accounts, wire administration, digital banking, and related operational processes; assists with audits, and project work; and helps research complex customer scenarios.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works closely with the Director of Consumer Banking and Branch Managers as a liaison and champion of the Retail banking teams (Tellers, Bankers, and Call Center Representatives). Communicates process and procedural changes to Retail in a timely, consistent, and effective manner.
- Owns Retail procedure development, review, and updates while identifying and delivering operational, technical, process, and procedural training for retail teams to drive and ensure consistency across all of retail.
- Provides new hire training for Xperience, core systems, 20/20 Teller, new account opening, and related Retail processes.
- Supports Retail project work by providing operational expertise; working directly with the Director of Operations, deposit operations, loan operations, and project management teams.
- Maintains knowledge of Retail products and services and demonstrates proficiency with Retail programs and systems, including Teller Platform, Meridian Link Platform, Digital Banking Solutions, and administration of related parameter changes and releases.
- Review of various daily and monthly reports to support retail and operational processes as needed.
- Serves as a subject matter expert and provides administration duties for safe deposit box administration, IRA/HSA administration, specialty accounts, and wire administration.
- Assists Retail Management with operational process consistency across branches, audit preparation, audit finding resolution, and research of complex customer question scenarios.
- Provides backup support for overdrafts, fraud software, and related Retail Operations processes.
- Regular, reliable attendance is required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent required, AA degree preferred.
- 2+ years of job-related experience.
- Jack Henry Banking software experience preferred.
