Job summary

The TJ Maxx store in Countryside, IL is seeking team associates to join our fast-paced retail environment. You will ring up purchases, process returns, maintain merchandising standards, and help create a welcoming shopping experience for every guest.

Starting pay ranges from $15.40–$15.90 per hour with bonus eligibility and a comprehensive benefits package; prior retail experience is preferred but not required. This role requires flexibility and a positive, guest-focused attitude.

Qualifications

• Open availability with a posted schedule two weeks in advance.
• Retail/customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Accurately rings customer purchases and handles returns.

• Must have absolute open availability due to auto schedule. Schedule is posted 2 weeks in advance.
• 30+ Hours a week
• Looking for candidates with a career path with TJX
• Role models established customer experience practices with internal and external customers
• Supports and embodies a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect
• Accurately rings customer purchases/returns and counts change back to customer according to established operating procedures
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs
• Maintains and upholds merchandising philosophy and follows established merchandising procedures and standards
• Accurately processes and prepares merchandise for the sales floor following company procedures and standards
• Initiates and participates in store recovery as needed throughout the day
• Maintains all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and participates in the maintenance/cleanliness of the entire store
• Provides and accepts recognition and constructive feedback
• Adheres to all labor laws, policies, and procedures
• Supports and participates in store shrink reduction goals and programs
• Participates in safety awareness and maintains a safe environment
• Other duties as assigned
