Job summary

Dollar General is hiring for a store associate position. You will act as the primary contact for customers, help set and maintain plan-o-grams, stock merchandise, and assist with checkout and daily store operations. A focus on accuracy, safety, and teamwork helps maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

The role involves unloading trucks, building displays, stocking and facing shelves, and providing friendly service at the register. Prior retail or cashier experience is beneficial.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise in the store or onto the sales floor.
• Build and rotate merchandise displays to meet plan-o-gram guidance.
• Greet customers and assist them in locating products; operate cash register and POS scanner.
• Assist with restocking and maintaining stockroom organization; keep store clean and safe.
